FAQ
Yes. There's no oil change, but EVs still need regular checks on brakes, tyres, suspension, steering, cabin filters, coolant and the 12V battery. Because EVs are heavier and deliver instant torque, tyres and suspension parts can wear differently to a petrol or diesel car.
Generally, in Ireland and the EU you can have your car serviced by an independent garage without voiding the manufacturer's warranty, as long as the work follows the manufacturer's schedule and suitable parts are used. Keep your invoices as a record. Separately, work by TopLevel EV comes with a 12-month warranty on parts supplied and installed by us and on labour.
Regenerative braking means the brake pads and discs are used less, which can let them corrode or the calipers stick, especially with Irish weather and salted winter roads. Regular inspection and cleaning keeps them working when you need them.
Often, yes. Replacing arms, links or knuckles can change the wheel geometry, so an alignment may be required afterwards to protect your tyres and keep the car driving straight. We'll tell you if it's needed.
